Dr. Kevin Murphy is a principal, administrator, and educational leader with over 25 years of experience in classroom instruction, school administration, and strategic leadership. Committed to school safety, equity, student achievement, and community engagement, Dr. Kevin Murphy has continuously advanced innovative and data-informed practices to improve learning outcomes and ensure inclusive school cultures.
Dr. Murphy served as a principal in Highland, New York, between 2022 and 2025. He led transformative initiatives that placed student well-being and academic success at the center of the school’s mission. Under his leadership, the school implemented equity-driven strategies, promoted personalized and proficiency-based learning, and strengthened multi-tiered systems of support. His work in that position emphasized instructional coaching, professional learning communities, and cross-curricular collaboration, ensuring that educators were empowered and student learning was continuously elevated.
Dr. Murphy also served the school as an assistant principal from 2020 to 2022, supporting the principal with managing daily operations, overseeing student attendance, and coordinating state assessments, including the Regents and Advanced Placement exams.
